I suck.
i want to try my board so bad now, but I have to wait for it to dry completely before I have at it.
I seriously don't know if it will work or not.
I have to sand it down and stuff, but its on its way. slowly but surely. I spent $0 on fiberglass stuff, but it would have cost me something like $30 in materials.
I used rubber gloves to rub the resin into the cloth and it worked pretty well. I have no air bubbles in any of the top stuff. I have a few very small ones in the stringers though. They are made of 2" wide cloth tape quartered up. it fit pretty nicely and i am pretty satisfied with how they are in the board.
by the way, the bottom never broke or cracked or anything, so I didn't even mess with it. I "watered down" some resin with thinner and poured it through the cracks to seal the bottom as good as I could. Then i poured regular viscosity resin in the cracks to make it stay. then I put cloth tape directly over the crack all the way across, put a peice of cloth over that that covered almost all of it, and put several layers of cloth over the top. then i made a sort of "weave" out of the tape and covered the whole mess with it. except the stringers.

its a pound or two heavier than it was. its heavy for a foam skimboard, yes, but still lighter than most of my woodies

so how did this affect your spraying ability? due to the added weight, can you now throw 22ft sprays? or does it slow you down and restrict you to like 10ft?

What type of resin did you use and how exactly did you "water" it down?
There's a good chance you've handled my ass-pennies. That gives me the edge.
