Default Finally got my new inland board!

Came in on Monday night. Medium DB Proto Verola. Green base, black foam.

Rode it in the rain until I couldn't see last night. It feels kind of heavy in my hands but once it's one the ground it pops big and spins fast. I'm really happy with it so far.

Thanks to Sam, Rob G, Noah, Matt Head, and anyone else who help me decide what to go with. And a big thanks to Richard and Bryce at Dashboards.

Steve - The top is full foam. All grip, without having to buy pads.

S3 - The rocker is about 5/8's on both the nose and tail.

Doug - I love inland. I'd probably rather ride waves but because I live about 30 hours from the ocean it's not exactly practical, plus I've never really ridden any good waves so maybe I'd hate it.

i like that full foam top, it's sick. however i'm not an inland rider, riding a wave is a feeling you fall in love with.

Yeah I like the new board. We inland sometimes on our "ocean" boards (my Slottie) when the golf course floods. It's so fun!

Yeah, I also bought their video and saw your cameo appearance in ProtoLife. I found it heavy at first too but I hopped back on my Zap today because was had 'waves' today and I hated how light it felt. I guess I adjusted quick to the new stick because my Zap just felt like shit.

Note: The 'waves' I'm talking about were about shin height but were the cleanest I've ever seen in my area. Because I skim in a river or on a lake, if there's waves it's always just wind chop that has broken 75 feet off shore. So the left the Proto on the beach today.

I'm not sure if you're refering to the inland scene in general or me specifically, but typical inland involves skateboard style tricks like shove-its, big spins, rails, etc.

Yeah, you can still do all that stuff on an 'ocean' board but after riding this board I could never go back to an ocean board for where I ride. It's not worth spending the money on a good ocean board to riding it in a river or snap it on a rail. Plus the new board pops so much cleaner, spins so much faster, and overall just feels more comfortable.

are you able to compare the shapes performance of your boards?? if you can how does that shape compare to your other boards??

I'll try to answer this question as best I can. I really like the twin tip shape versus the 'regular' shape of my Zap. I find it spins faster for both flatland spins and other tricks like shove-its. I'm not sure if it's the shape/cut on the nose and tail or wood or what but I also find the board pops way nicer than any of the other baords I've riden.

if you have any more questions about it feel free to ask.
