    that's a good list. i've also really been into the new Maylene and the Sons of Disaster album called II. it's awesome.

    Thanks, Sam. Add HORSE the Band to my list too, skipped them. I've heard good things about Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, but I've never listened to them.

    i've been on this weird kick of trying to identify radio songs from my early childhood that have lodged themselves in my brain and always sounded mysterious to me, in a kid daydream way. most of them are kind of dentist office music, but whatever. i can sit and just listen to some of these and it transports me to being 7 years old, riding in the back of my aunt's car, going the to swimming pool. kind of weird.

    alan parsons - eye in the sky
    joe jackson - steppin out
    bruce hornsby - the way it is
    george michael - careless whisper
    sade - smooth operator
    genesis - that's all

    just heard this cover on internet radio of elliot smith's 'between the bars'. i really like it. (Madeleine Peyroux - between the bars). p.s. some youtube guy made the video, some of it is kind of lame.

    The "Cities" you should be downloading is the Talking Heads song, or Phish's cover (which is actually better).

    I haven't heard this version, but I really like Madeleine Peyroux's older stuff... Her last album sucked...
