Ok i have had a wedge for awhile now and i am going to upgrade. I am about 135-140lbs and need input on whether to buy a zap comp carbon or a exile carbon hybrid rocker. I was thinking about getting a medium should I stay with medium or go large?

hows my posting?

I don't ride gulf but if you have enough for an exile, you would probably be more satisfied with it.(Small)(Med/Small).
Fyi, I would try out a m/s carbon exile before you buy, I think they are waaaaaaaaaay too light.

think outside of the clique, i'd get a syndrome....
i weigh like 155 and i ride a ms exile, it does the trick lol
I don't know... what does your avatar say?Originally Posted by thestipesta

get a 3/4 M Exile
I wouldnt go from a wedge to either of those boards.Thats a big jump performance wise.
I Would Call Skim City Greg Hes Pretty Good On Size Per Weight For Riders And Board Company. Just For Some More Experienced Advice, But I Think Zaps Are Better For Our Coast Espicially If Your Not Advanced You Can Tear Up An Exile Quick.
If You Have That Much Money To Get Whatever You Want Then Get What You Like And Screw What Anyone Else Thinks, Or After They All Give Advice Then Choose, But Slotsticks Have A Sick Ride To Them. SLOTTY Or Syndrome Will Be My Next Board.
Hey I was gonna start a new thread, but i have the exact same question as stipesta. Need to replace my worn out Zap wedge m, I weigh 160+. Was thinking about getting a vic foamie or grommet, or possibly a wavezone. Thing is, seems like everyone here hates WZ's...curious why.
PS im a broke student, so foam is for me haha
tx and sorry if i jacked the thread
ummm grommets are for little kids.....and a foamie would probably be a step down. maybe go for a sol or an ultravac or some other zap.
exile hybrid.

- Ill keep my eye out on ebay then. I dont really want to move down, if anything I would like to go up. I am still wondering what is up with WZ tho, there are a few factory defect boards on there that are my size.
