lmao... Freak 31 inch arch and dom back pad is best pad combo out there Ive seen many astodecks fallin off but very few freak pads and knowing the ratio of freak pads vs astrodeck pads on skimboards here on the east coast, pretty much explanes which is the better pad. and you dont even have to do all that sanding and actone crap with freak. just make shure the board is free of wax and debris, slap it on no air bubbels of course, and SKIM!
pads are pads.

@ skim4life;
how do you put your pads on the square? its s textured deck, im not sure if you do it the same way as a glossy board. just sand and apply?
no need to sand your square. apply traction and go get urrl
you dont need to sand your board before putting traction on a square. jsut clean the area and slap the suckers on.

Square David and I were talking about it and he told me it would be a good idea to sand and clean first before applying. This is a rule of thumb for any textured board. I don't know why you wouldn't for these specific ones.

I asked the same question. Pads will stay on if you apply them but in the long run, they wouldn't stay son. It's a texture deck, so it'll be almost like putting scotch tape on sandpaper. I'd still sand it down till it's smooth so at least, the adhesive has that bald space to adhere better. Otherwise, it's whatever, your board, your pads..![]()

it was common sense to me to go out and get sanding + cleaning supplies as soon as I ordered this board because I knew it was textured.

yo Skim4Lfe1988 that square is sexy! im looking into them, what size is it and how much do you weigh? reason i ask is cause i can get a used L but im only 145 so i think it may end up being too big for me
I want to know what's good for me as well. I'm riding like a 48" board right now (really old) and I am 5'7" and 160 lb
i got pictures of whats completed of my board

its a medium and im 6'1 165. doesn't matter what size you get, it depends on your preference, if you want something that is going to float more with not being able to turn very well. get a bigger board, if you want float but manuverability get a board that is smaller... ive been riding my buddies medium square for a while and I seem to have much more control on the medium than my large board. I would most likely suggest a small square or any other small board. I wouldnt suggest anything larger than that for your weight

Yeah that's what I was thinking it's just hard for me to pass up such a good deal but I know that if I got the large I would end up not liking how big it is. Thanks for the info dude and have fun with that sick ass board

{noahb}when i get high it fracks me upyou know those flip books when you flip the pages it makes a movie kinda,when i get hight thats what i look at
id say if youre not sure go up in size rather than down (especially if youre still learnin and all that). you can learn to maneuver a bigger board but you cant add more float to a board thats too small. i say go for the small.
plus 47" is a small ass board.
