Yeah it was either this or a new jdub or lovett (it is so wide like 25 inches) then I said the lovett is to wide and I don't know about the jdub so let's try this. Oh also I had a choice between the new paulo and sears also, but they weren't so pretty looking and I wanted domke rocker if I was getting an exile.

why the hell would you want domke rocker if you cant wrap, it will just complicate things 100x more
you dont need domke rocker to get to a wave. domke rocker is probably the hardest rocker to wrap on that ive seen
no
no
you must not have seen many boards. victoria, slotstik, square, slash, and probably many more companies have relatively the same or less rocker than the domke rocker. i can understand having exile's hybrid rocker on a hybrid shape, but that much rocker on a pro shape would be almost too much. but i guess it doesn't make a difference when it's all personal preference.

it's not the board, it's the rider
Anyone try a boomhower bullet? My board is a bullet with a "moontail" which would lock it in the wave more than the bullet.

What did you expect haha

My board looks similar to the pro, except the nose is much more blunt than his pro shape, the outline is basically the same besides the back and nose. The board is basically the bullet with a fish tail. jdub said it to me and he said it rides so similar to the pro besides the looser turning tail.

still trying to decide what pads to put on it, im think some creatures or gorilla not sure what color though, id really appreciate any suggestions that you guys have. in b4 black looks good on everything
and idk how to embed imgs, sry. so if anyone wants to help me out, ill go back and edit my post
yeah. When I saw it I was skeptical at first, they have 2 new boards also, the M5 which is a comp and the ace which will replace the pro. They redesigned the lovett to make it really wide and the jdub had some minor tweaking but ultimately is the same board as last years. Im hoping this can preform well for me because this is going to replace my pintail board or my fish. Since this is a new shape I dont know what to think of it yet, can anyone imitate Jim Gordon and give me a decent overview of the board just by looking at the shape? I got almost no information from zap, all they said is it has a more forgiving nose, It has a loose tail, and it rides sorta like a mix between the rocket fish and the boomhower pro, also they said it was basically the bullet with a moon tail. How does that sound to you?

The pro shape with normal rocker is probably the most popular shape amongst professional Skimboarders of all time (not to mention amateur riders and consumers...). I doubt the 30+ pros who think its the best board for them would agree that it is "too much". But maybe you know better...

you are certainly entitled to your opinion on what you like... There are obviously some benefits (and detriments) to narrow boards with little rocker... I just dont think its fair to call our normal rocker 'lots of rocker'. Its the amount of rocker almost all our riders and many many customers prefer.
A more accurate way to phrase what you like would be to say "I like narrow boards that have less rocker", or something like that.

Narrow board with less rocker - Faster, harder to wrap.
Blunt nosed board with more rocker - Slower, more forgiving and easier to wrap.
Narrow board with more rocker - $$$
Blunt nosed board with less rocker - $$$
Dont be surprised on my pad placement cause Steve told me that it should go as far back as possible on this board.Originally Posted by Steve boomhower
