well i gotta agree taht it would be a positive thing in the US because of the profit off of it and also the stop of many drug trafficing.
on the other hand i forgot who who said it how Coke is only related to Gangs....well ur in ur own little world cause here on My "little world" the OBX kids get drug test in our school randomly once a month so instead of smoking weed there has been LARGEEE increase in kids doing cocain. at a party there was a line throughout the entire house waiting to get into the bathroom to take a line off the mirror... and thats just fracked up. it will lead into a more intense drug so frack that. COKE is so fracking retarded i dont get it. i would never touch it. and just saying none of those kids are gang related cause there are only pussy lil groups of kids here not gangs

OOo my 2 cents. I do occasionally smoke marijuana, I'd say once every 3-4 weeks. I believe that it should be legalized for all the reasons already listed in this thread and also because it is soo much safer than alcohol.
From Erowid:

(Note good and bad symptoms, are bad symptoms all that bad?)

Okay and now alcohol.

(Once again not the good and bad symptoms)
go on.
this is no bullshit. Jack goes to dare county schools and i go to camden county schools. (2 county's over). This year a new drug policy was put into effect allowing random drug testings every month or so. Ever since that the amount of weed through my school has declined a shitload. less kids commin to school high and less pepole using. which is a good thing overall. And just to fill you in on how small my school is. last year the senior class was 110 kids . my class this year has only 140. During the random drug testing before christmas break the school released a percentage saying, out of the kids they had tested so far this year 87 PERCENT. tested positive for cocaine. all the partys ive been to this year. everysingle one of them i have see coke there.Originally Posted by J. Edit*- if my school and jacks school that makes up north-east noth carolina have this same drug policy as well as the surrounding schools. that since this increase of drug testing, cocaine has become more poplular in our area. To the extent of almost doubling in as little as a year.
i live in vb(right above obx) and i havnet heard of any major cocaine problems
just weed

I got news for you; its not the weed thats the problem. Those people you mentioned were born shallow losers. Weed simply became their fixation.Originally Posted by Billy Heilbron
Yeah, more government regulations and harsher penalties is just what this country needs. Then maybe we'll finally be able to get skimboarders off the beach for good!I don't think it should be legalized. I also think that there are so many people getting arrested because our penalties aren't harsh enough. Take a look at singapore, they'll chop your head off if you bring drugs into their county. Thats why they have such a low crime rate and such a clean city, unlike here in the US. Disclaimer: I don't dislike you if you smoke weed, I just think weed is retarded.
There's a good chance you've handled my ass-pennies. That gives me the edge.
if they legallize pot, then potheads would have nothing to talk about

i think it should be legealized in your own home or a "hashbar" and you have to buy it from a certain reatalier and it has to be taxed. On the other hand all the rich white kids that smoke it in the bathrooms in my school have caused administrators to monitor the bathrooms. They have locked all the bathrooms except for one girls and one guys. It kinda sucks because now you cant freely walk around.

It will never happen. theres too much opposition to move towards legalization, as smoking weed has always been seen as a deviant behavior in our country. Also, a lot of high up weed dealers actually fund anti-drug campaigns, if it became legal they would be out of a job.
there would have to be something like random breath testing for drivers.... some sort of "Legal Stoned Limit". cos yeh.... stoned driving is just fracking retarded.
don't worry, Nader is on itOriginally Posted by sweenie08

Another problem I remember reading about is that there are pharma companies who are attempting to synthesize THC. If they can do it, patent it, and get FDA approval... cha ching! Then the government certainly has its reasons to block legalization or even decrim.
Not to mention, for all the people suggesting taxation, that marijuana is incredibly easy to grow. Enforcing taxation would be next to impossible. But hey, money saved from not having to find, prosecute, and imprison marijuana criminals is still like money earned.

in sarasota there is huge fracking coke use. its fracking rediculous. this kids here are so fracking dumb
what is this i dont even
I dont get this argument against weed and driving . No shit its stupid , so is drinking and driving . I hardly see that as a reason not to legalize .... Not that i really give a shit what you guys do , Canada is fairly flexible when it comes to weed.
im not saying thats a reason Not to legalize it.... im saying that IF it was legalized, something like a Random Breath test would have to be implemented.....
i think that in our life time it will be legalized. I really believe that it just seems like there is a big opposition. Think of it this way, most of the people going into government office over the next 5 years grew up in the early 70's

I think it will become Decriminalized sometime in my life time. I don't believe it will become legalized though...Originally Posted by Duffskim

Legalization would mean that there's no such thing as an offense for most aspects of marijuana.
