well i like too. cuz like paulo is spreading the news of this super sport. i think not enough people know about it and he's helping and making himself some money too. and plus he's one of best skimboarders on the planet so if you can get lessons from him, well then thats pretty sweet. imgagine getting golf lessons from tiger or football lessons from jerry rice or joe montana. yeah that'd be sweet.
The site looks sick, what is the special birthday surprise???
yeah, one on one lessons with tiger woods for 40 bucks.
that's insane.
I'd charge more than $40 an hour if I were Paulo.
I'd say it is a Great Opportunity for people in the Solag area.
nice, i like it
is this your work, sir derelicious?

that site is sick, i dig the animation on the trees and skimboards, the whole thing is really clean, me gusta
and that is pretty cool that paulo teaches a skim school, damn good way to make money and a great opportunity for all the groms
cool website, but derek...there is no reference/link to the webdesigner who did it. (you?)
skimportugal.com all you need to know about portuguese skimboarding...and more.
may the skim be with you
Yea that is so badass... who is doing the drawings or outlines of paulo and stuff is that you? so frackin sick
and this is so badass
![]()
yeah i did it, thanks for the compliments. and the drawings are thanks to my new wacom tablet...it is awesome.
Kyle that picture seems grainy..... either that its my laptop
but semi private lessons![]()
That's pretty sick that Paulo is doing this. He is giving back to the community which helps promote skimming as a true sport and puts it into a positive light.
Pebble Beach 06
Derek I like it, but I have to add it is not your best work. What happened to the SSS logo you showed me?
But good work
i like how dirt falls off the boards and trees when they pull out of the ground.
I was down at Aliso a couple weeks ago and Paulo was giving lessons to this east coast guy I met there. I didnt ask him how much it was but $40 is way cheap I thought it would be way more than that although $40 an hour is pretty nice pay lol

uh, derek, the buttons on top supposed to be all green?

yeah, you need to update your flash player. flash 8 man, it's neato.

god damn this website is sick. almost as sick as the phone call you gave me tonight. i <3 u derek
sick site and the thought of getting lessons from paulo seems sick... also got some nice wallpapers from that site yeah
Pretty dope site.
It's cool he's charging only $40. Like people said, the same kinda thing with Tiger Woods or Mario Andretti would prolly be in the thousands.
Although it's only $40/hr, and it is a bargain, hopefully he can teach you your money's worth in an hour. Yeah it's EXTREMELY cheap, considering who/what it is. But it's still $40 for one hour, and hopefully you get much more than just seeing him on the beach and asking his advice.
That said, I'de give him $40 to see what it's all about. Anybody here do it yet?
I like the simplicity, derek, it makes it more accessible to moms & dads who might be checking out the website, but it's still got a fresh look.
I also think it's really cool that Paulo is doing this, and the fact that he charges 40 bucks for a personal lesson is just nuts. I would pay twice that in a heartbeat. But the fact that it is so cheap makes it appealing to people that don't know who he is and just want to learn to skimboard or do something fun on their vacation.
Sick site. I like how user friendly it is...
It's good to see, but I feel we already have so many skimboarders in Laguna already. Damn, I think it'll provide Paulo with some cash for being so great at his sport which is awesome, but I wish he could be doing this in less "skim-populated" places. Just a thought-
yeah what is it?Originally Posted by Blanton
it wont be surprising if everybody knows, then again i think most people on here are kind of into skimming already and aren't needing lessons
that sounds crazy localism aggro style. not saying thats what you were going for, but that didnt sound so greatOriginally Posted by Teddy Parker
"less-skim populated" oh, you mean where it would be harder to learn and they couldnt learn on one of the best waves in the world?
what is this i dont even
I know it's natural to think that, but your logic should tell you that this is selfish, and that it's a great thing that he's expanding the sport, and giving it a good image.Originally Posted by Teddy Parker
