question about stolen/lended boards

leading onto my other topic that noone would look at if i brought back. ok the girl supposevly lent or gave to the board to some other kid. so i lent the exile to the girl and she gave it to some other kid or it got stolen out of her car then given to someone else. if i got the fuzz invovled do you think they would just say you shouldnt of lent her the board and that be it or actually get her ass for giving away my 450 $ shit.

why would you lend angie a board. she has one that is fine. If you were lending it to her for Petey. I see him all the time and could get the story or get the board back.

yea but that wasnt the case, joey had her other board and i was gonna let her use it for the next day then she said she would get it back to me. i didnt know that she was gonna do all this shit or someone was gonna steal it out of her car.

no, you loaned your skimboard, but she either stole it herself and gave it away, or was negligent while possessing your property. if someone stole it out of her car, she's the one who didn't lock the door. she has a responsibility to exercise care while she is possession of your property. and if she loaned it to someone else, she still has a responsibility to return it to you. she owes you a skimboard, regardless of what lies she makes about how she doesn't have it.

if you call the police, i would simply tell them you temporarily loaned it to her at the beach (if that's what you did), but she then stole it. that's all you have to say, and as far as you're concerned, that's all you really know that happened. if she has stories about why she doesn't have it, let her explain that to the cops. it's not your bullshit story, it's hers. as far as you're concerned, she stole it. and tell her if she doesn't return your board by tomorrow at xyz time, you will be calling the police, regardless of what she says happen to it. if she says "it was stolen out of my car" or that she lent it to some other asshat, simply tell her again "if i don't have the board in my hands by xyz time tomorrow, I'm calling the police". i almost wish this were me, i would not take shit or frack around at all. it would have been settled the day after it happened.

if that doesn't work, your recourse is to file a police report and take her to small claims court.

judge judy would take this case.

if neither of you are 18, your parents will have to sue her parents. in the end, your parents may just say frack it and not want to bother with it, and all you'll get is a lesson about not lending your shit to random people who haven't demonstrated that they're trustworthy.

if that's the case, tough lesson and im sorry you're out a skimboard.
