    Default B-Day snowboarding trip

I decided to go all out and treat myself to 4 days of powder riding at Silverton Mountain which has terrain on par with the best Heli operations.

It is. I haven't been there since they started lift operations but I've rode quite a bit in that area via snowmobile.

What are the prices like? I couldn't find it on the site.

Wow, you have to have a shovel, and a avalanche beacon to ride there.

It's $49 for unguided riding or $99 with a guide with guided tours only mid-January through April 1st. If you don't have extensive bckcountry experience I'd recommend getting a guide as it's really easy to get in over your head there. The average slope has a sustained pitch steeper then 95% of the in-bounds terrain in North America and avalanches are a near daily occurance.

edit: what dates are you going to Tahoe again?
