    Default I got accepted...

to Sports Shooter, an international organization of photojournalists and sports photographers. Many LA Times, NY Times, USA Today, and Sports Illustrated photographers are members of this organization. I am the first dedicated skimboarding photographer to gain entrance. I'd like to try to get skimboarding more recognized by the media as a whole. I'm trying to get more photographers and members of the media to know that our sport actaully exists.

here is their main site: www.sportsshooter.com
    here is my portfolio: http://www.sportsshooter.com/ryguyinlj

Take a look at the photos and let me know what you think.

you definately have a good eye for it, not just some dude with a nice camera. Good stuff. My favorites are "The Spring" (such a sick shot), and "The Cross".

That's awesome. Our sport is definately progressing and hopefully you can make it a little better known. The "santa ana" shoot is sick.

Thanks, guys. I didnt actually think anyone would find this thread. lol. Skimboarding is really my first sport that I worked at shooting.

Skimboarding is such a small sport, unknown by practically everyone. lol. I'd have to say that my experiences shooting other sports has definitely afffected the way I shoot skimboarding. Especially from a technical aspect. Mens Fitness UK is going to be running two of my photos soon, and I am jockeying to get a few of my wedge photos into Transworld Surf. stay tuned...

Come to think of it, I'm going to go do some of this "specialized form of surfing" this morning, maybe get some photos. late.

way to go ryon. you should put some of your other pics on there some day like the one with the hotel in the background and a lot of fog. its amazing. but all the ones in your current profile are great too and show your diversity.

if you really need to, you can use my bird picture and put your name on it haha
