Default Waxing the bottom of your board?

okay so i've been skimming for about 3 years. and i've never done anything to the bottom of my board, but i keep hearing all these kids say that if you put some kind of car wax on the bottom of you're board it performs better. i am very puzzled because i dont understand how this could help.

I have not tried eelsnot, but my team rider Heath has and he says it works great. I do know that car wax good too. I just makes it slide better across the sand and water. Also when my board gets all scratched up on the bottom I wet sand the bottom with wet/dry sandpaper. Make sure you use lots of water and a sanding block to get the bottom smooth and flat and then put car wax or eelsnot on the bottom.

Yes^ when the bottom of your board gets all scratched up, the bottom will feel ruff so you need to wet-sand the bottom down smooth again and the block with sandpaper will keep it flat & smooth......get it?

So ummm, i have been OUT of the LOOP for a while. Sorry guys! Anyway, if i may chime in. First off, Murphy, yes we have the name trademarked, thank you for asking. eelsnot.com isnt in our possetion yet, (again...long story). however we're good. As for the question at hand. Of corse im going to say eelsnot rulez, but that wasnt the question. So the science of it is this. In any circumstance less drag, or less resistance equates to more speed. So if you can find something that eliminates drag then you will get speed. Finding some that lasts on a skimboard for any duration of time is the trick. There are many things to try. I wont plug my idea, however. Trial and error will always prevail. Read up on what makes the products work, in thier words and you can figure with a general understanding what will work better. Also, there is enough of it all floating around, you probably could try almost anything for free. If you contact me, i bet i can find someone to assist you.

J Gordon... I humbly admit im slack lately, LOL. (really just super busy, thank GOD), however, you have product heading your way. dropped it in the mailbox today! talk with you soon! I have some really really great things coming your direction.
