    Default Victoria bigfoot

Is anyone riding the Vic bigfoot? If so, what is your height, weight, level , and what do you think of it? I'm an intermediate rider getting back into skimming after about 10 years off. I'm using my old board from high school, but I'm looking into getting a bigger board. Just curious if any riders around my size have tried it and what they think of it. I'm hoping to get a bit more float since I'm not really fast.

    Cheers

    Tim

I ride a red medium zap wedge with blue freak traction. Floats like a boat. I am 5'1 190 lbs and the thing sideslips me out to the barrels like a champion.

so you're 5'1 190 in this thread, but 5'7 and 140 in the other?
I would aspire to be me if I wasn't already

    What's your height and weight?

To give you an idea, I'm 6'0" 190lbs and I have 2 exiles...they are both Hybrid Carbons....one is 54.5"x21.5" and the other is 56"x22". I primarily ride the XXL Hybrid (54.5x21.5).

    Hope that helps.

i just recently picked up a Bigfoot and love it. plenty of float and i'm on the lighter end of the weight it can handle. 180lbs and 6'0 tall. more float than my 5/8 carbon exile so i make it out to the harder to reach waves.

Are you pretty fast to begin with? I'm about your size and a bit on the slower side taking off, so I need all the help I can get to keep me up. Does it feel noticeably bigger or heavier when you run or throw it than your 5/8 carbon? Do you still find it fun to ride when you have a strong break right on shore, or do you only ride it when you need to get out far?

I'm not the quickest runner. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being a NFL wide receiver and a 7 being a typical high school athlete, I'm probably a 5. I enjoy the Bigfoot equally as much in any condition. It handles well in all wave types just seems to help me out when the conditions are a little sloppier and when the waves are farther out. That added float is the big difference maker. As far as dropping the board it wasn't a big adjustment. My biggest problem isn't with the board as with how I approach the wave. I ride goofy but throw the board right handed. So it took a little adjusting to the little extra size of the bigfoot but only because of the way I get on the board. The board itself isn't too much heavier than the exile. I've been nothing but pleased with both boards. Here is a comparison picture of the size of the bigfoot vs. my exile...

Thanks for answering all my questions. I think I'll probably go for it. I also considered the Mark II, but I think the bigfoot is probably a better all arounder. I'm probably going to be pretty amazed when I first hop on it, as I've been skimming with my high school board recently from when I was probably 150 lbs (I'm about 185 now). That blue looks sick by the way.

Sweet tail pad on the exile. Two sexy boards.
