Default Opinions on Plastic Skateboards (Penny, Banana, etc)

Just wanted to see if they are worth the money and such. I rode one for a little bit, but they are kind of small. Do you have to get used to them? What do you guys think of them?

    Welp, that made my Friday.
There's a good chance you've handled my ass-pennies. That gives me the edge.

They ride fun but you can't really charge anything or throw a turn. Good for riding to/from/around the beach.

both the penny and nickel are chillmax vibin, and you can get them for pretty cheap online. the nickel rides like any other commuter (flexier, easy turns), the penny will take a little more getting used to just because of its size

and the whole thing about cars being able to run over them....

I got a shitty stereo. It sucks until you change the wheels and bearings. Then its decent. I tried a nickel and they are more fun then a penny/stereo IMO.

I like mine, no problems riding around on a crowded campus. They sell these at Costco now so I might be getting rid of mine because I dont want to be that guy riding the "Costco skateboard". Yeah I care.

It seems to me that high speed wobbles are caused by the trucks being too loose. Also it seems when you're going straight and not doing any turns too.

They flex a little too much for me and once the plastic is wet it gets pretty slippery obviously..You could always grip them but I kind of like the feel of a wooden deck..you should check out the churchill penny killers..they're just basically wooden pennies for like 70 bucks
