thats actually a really small one.

i process all the data from the survey crews. and then put it into a format where the client can see whats going on. thats not the final product.

its funny cuz i can see what everything is but someone who didnt look at it all day would have trouble. like in the matrix when he says, "i dont even see the code anymore, all i see is blonde, brunette, red head..." all i see are filenames, stations, features, attributes, coords.

what are the delimiters in those strings? I just see alot of CSV and see no commas separating the values or does csv mean something else?

it's comma delimited CSV, but I'm working with it in excel to combine a bunch of files (17000 points on this project)

the .csv's have been altered for our map. It goes Point, Northing, Easting, Elevation, Description (Feature Code), AT1, AT2,AT3, etc. but I have added two stations and the file name so that the lookup codes work the right way.

Ah I see Thanx, I use to do programing and data migration/conversion so it sort of made sense but if you're cutting from excel then that explains no commas. ;-)
