Exclamation URGENT: Need help repairing my board!

Hey guys! I just got a Victoria foamie and it came with a defect in the tail... I posted a picture along with this to show you. I need help as to what I should do in order to fix that... Would applying resin to it be enough to seal it? Thanks guys!

You bought it from a retailer with that sort of damage? Ask for your money back.

    1. lightly sand
    2. remove ALL debris (including: fiberglass dust from sanding, loose strands of glass, cats)
    3. mix up some epoxy or polyester resin and fill the void.
3a. resin is very runny and does not make a good filler unless thickened up. if you do not have access to 'real' thickener the use of baking soda works great

that happened to my old foamie. for some reason the rails just fall out. i filled mine with crazy glue to mimic the shape of the rest of the rail and it worked great

I have done lots of fiber glass repair and this is what I would do. Mix up some epoxy, lay the board on it's top and pour the resin in the crack. One thing too, tape off around the rail so the resin will not run on to the top. OK, time to push the delaminated glass back together. Now get some masking tape and put strips all the way around to hold it (about every inch or two). When dry take off tape and sand smooth.

You need to use clamps to hold the repair together while it cures. Quick-grips work best.

Thanks guys I appreciate it I bought some epoxy and it should be getting to my house within a few days.... it has the actual resin and the hardener, do you still think I should use a filler?

And yeahh I'm not too high on cash that's why I bought the foamie... Plus I live in Florida so there's not much use for a better board haha

if you can clamp it shut, no filler.

if it's a gash or a gouge, add the filler

    all killer no filler
you guys remember that? aha the ol' days
