It would be cool to see a skimboard editing contest

I don't know what you guys/girls think about editing contests. I think it would be pretty cool. Just like raw footy and then edit it. I know about the exile one that is going on right now, but I'm thinking something like the Sk8Rats editing contest on youtube were you rip the video and edit it.

Ya. I mean like everyone has the exact same footy and then everyone edits that footy the way that they want.

there was talk of this a couple of years ago. I think foreverskim was gonna sponsor it. It would be awesome if it actually played out, but the main problem is having filmers give up good clips that everyone can take from

It would be cool if like after a competition, either exile or victoria or something released some footage. It would be the same footage everybody would have to work with. There would also be a set list of songs that you could use. You would have to be done before a certain date. The best entries could e featured on the exile site or something..

Yeah, i think that'd be awesome. I didnt know a lot of people were into editing on here. And the exile contest is kinda stupid for me, just due to the fact that most riders are in Cali or doing UST stuff.

That would be so sick, I'd forsure do it. But no to the set list of songs, that totally ruins it.

Yeah definitely no set song. No rules to the way you edit the footage, the way you edit it is the way you choose. I agree it would be hard to find a filmer to give up good clips.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the editing contest would be pretty popular.

what if a bunch of good credible filmers gave leftover clips? or everyone is given like two months to film locally then they must upload what they have into a giant file database or something for everyone to use?

ahnn i think it would be pretty lame the same footage, a good clip its composed by the filming, editing and waves/riding. to test the filmakers skills i think we should have a good day witch everyone goes to the same beach and film pros.. that would be fair.. to everyone.. we got the camera factor ok.. but for me that is the best way..

i create a thread here 2 years ago i think.. to make a global movie.. we launch a server or something that people can upload there clips from everywhere with the right aspects and representants from around the world would choose and edit it.. or just someone.. but i think it is possible and never been done.. im gonna try this with my site sometime.. but its difficult without help from big brands to share it..
