I've skimmed alone quite a few times. I have never really been too worried about it. I feel like your almost more likely to hurt yourself if you think and worry about getting hurt. But, I would also say that you should make sure you have a phone with you just in case anything does happen. good luck!

If there is a nice place to skim, especially with waves, you're never truly alone. Always people at the beach.

Post up a shout out, tell folks where you're going to be... Might make some new friends in the area, you never know...

I'm skimming alone most of the time. It's hard to get hurt by dutch waves so I don't worry about that haha. Make sure your bag, or whatever you take with you, is not too far away from the place you are skimming. My experience is that I am watching it after every ride because I lost it one time..

It could get kinda boring to skim alone, but with others you have the chance they get all the good waves or want to quit earlier than you do.

Hope this helps! And sorry for grammar mistakes.

This applies to surfing, but there's many good skim spots that don't always have people skimming them. Unless you're talking about the spirit of the past skimmers

Unless you skim at a beach where people get raped all the time, I don't see any danger. It's actually, in my opinion better to skim alone, at least if you wanna learn new stuff. You can choose the waves you want when you want. Just bring a phone in case something goes bad, even thought that probably won't happen..

    Have fun!
