Fiber Glass board in 70%,20%Carbon and 10% wood, Most of then Edge its the biggest skimboard company in brazil, they are groing fast seeling skimboard on shop stores and stuff..

Yeah, i didnt expect thaat much view, i think its because you see tricks and linners and good sized waves all in just one vid.. those kids are killing it.. its really impressive to see Leandro and Renatinho skimming..
i can easily put my monney on then if they compete on ust. they would get top 5...

now they know what skimboard is i think, but i still think domke video its not a skimboard video..

Domke video was viewed a lot cause people thought it was sick and cause kelly slater said "check out this guy tow in skimming" to his 200k+ twitter followers.

You should be stoked on 30k views this year and more importantly a really top notch production. Video was well put together. But you should probably leave the claims about most viewed skim video of the year out of it...

You guys are missing understand what i im saying, for me skimboard is getting waves throwing the board against the sand and slide and wrap and goes back..

Derek compared my video with the domkes video, i just sad the videos are differents, he is not skimming, he is skurfing HUGE waves with a litle board with no fins, thats impressive, but there is a big gap between surf and town in and skurf and skimboard.. its not comparable..

im not trying to compare the videos.. not at all, he is an alien..one step foward.. and we are just a small site trying to promote skimboard...

Domke video was aamazing.. people turn there eyes to skimboard all around the world...

Rapzz. On Domke its an issue for debate for sure. I understand that. Its something new really... I personally think skimboarders should be proud of one of their own and be proud to call it skimming. Maybe others disagree.

I think rapzz has got a point when he says that 50% of people who watched domke visions dont know what skimboarding is. I think running, throwing the board on the sand and wrapping a wave is what really defines skimboarding, not just riding a wave with a board with no fins, otherwise surfing with a beater would be skimboarding. I think what domke visions helped for the sport is that now everyone knows that its possible to ride a wave with a skimboard and that its not just something to slide on the sand. From now on, people should now get more excited when they hear about skimboarding and respect it more. And im pretty sure a bunch of people searched for "skimboarding" on youtube after that video.

Back to the topic, i dont like to call what domke does in the video as skimboarding, i prefer to call it town in skimboarding and skurfing ( frack off if skurfing is surfing behind a boat, i see no problems of that being the name of the two things). I dont like to call it skimboarding cause paddleing to a wave or using a boat for it wouldnt be acceptable in a skim contest. And if it was, i think it would suck, unless it was a skurf only contest.

Riding a beater is not skimboarding. Riding a finless surfboard is not skimboarding. But riding a skimboard after getting dropped in on a ski....?? Then riding the wave like a skimboarder because in fact it is a skimboarder on a skimboard on the wave....? Yeah, thats pretty much a variant of skimboarding.
