    Default Help with Exile Recruit

I have talked to the guy that is selling it, and he says it is 52 inches. but that's pretty much all i got out of him. Want to know if anyone else can give me some more information about it. I'm 6'0 and about 175 180. it would be my first board too, that a good deal and or right for me?

The white one is definitely a pro shape, the red one is hard to tell from the angle. A M hybrid is 52.15" , a ML is 52.25", and a L is 52.5", and a MS Pro is 52.75" (all the sizes we have from 52-53"). If it's a M-L Hybrid you should probably be just fine. If it's a MS pro you would definitely be on the upper end of the weight recommendation. Not that it wouldn't work for you, but it could feel a little small depending on speed/skill level/wave conditions i.e. you would probably want to be pretty quick, pretty good, and ride pretty good conditions on a regular basis for it to work to it's full potential. If the boards are new they should have a sticker on the bottom with the size, shape, material, thickness etc... marked...

Great...I'm glad I could help! Honestly, that's a heck of a deal...Almost TOO good of a deal for one. I find it kind of odd that this guy is selling them for so cheap, that their new, and that he didn't have much information for you (like I said, there should be a sticker on the bottom, unless it was removed, saying what shape, size, thickness etc... the board is). I'm not saying not to go for it, but I would be a little cautious honestly...especially since it looks like they are in some sort of retail setting, and yet it's posted on craigslist? Maybe just try to get a little more information out of him before you pull the trigger.

Well, it's a M so you're within the weight recommendations for either shape. At the same time since you are on the upper end of the weight range and are just starting out it might be beneficial to have a slightly bigger board. Not saying that either of these boards wouldn't work for you. If it's close by I would suggest just going and checking out the board in person.
