East Beach, RI Friday

I'm gonna be heading up to Connecticut and then Cape Cod for a week and I was gonna go to East Beach on Friday. If your from the area I'll be there, I have a gloss coated carbon fiber exile with a light blue bottom/logo. Does anyone know if it is looking good this year?

How's it going Phenom, yeah we just had a contest North (east) of the Breachway and the slope was decent, usually down by Blue shutters and into Quonnie (the rock point) at the far south (west) end of the beach is even better so I would assume it could get really fun. Post on the Facebook page HERE and you should get some more feedback from the RI kids.

Also if you're going to still be on the cape July 7th we are holding another contest at Whitecrest Beach in Wellfleet. Should be a solid turn out and a good time so come on up and join us!

Thanks for the information man! Do you know any good skimboarding spots in Cape Cod? I'm going to be in the Falmouth/Mashpee area and we'll have a boat, so Martha's vineyard is an option, I think Nantucket is a bit too far gas wise though. Cheers!

Always wanted to check out Monomoy Island south of Chatham, that whole stretch of outer beach is sick. You gonna be around for the contest?

Hmmm, not sure if my relatives will be up for a 45 min drive to Monomoy or Orleans from Waqouit Bay. I wish I was going to be here for the contest, I think I'm leaving the 5th. I mean I could stay and take the train home, but I probably won't do that. Needless to say, I'm pumped. I will also have my Nikon D5100, so if anyone wants any skim pics of themselves, head over there and I will hook you up.

How is East Beach normally? Swell info says 3ft with chop, will that be any good? I'm used to DE.

You should definitely try to hit up Nauset beach in Orleans if you can, it's one of prime New England skim spots

Well.. I didn't even get to go to east beach. My father passed away this morning playing ice hockey, so we drove back to philly immediately. It took 7 1/2 hours to get from Mystic, Connecticut to the suburbs of Philly. It normally take 5, let's just say today was the worst day of my life. Next time I'm up there I'll definitely hit up those beaches, though I normally skim at southside, DE since my grandparents live in Fenwick.
