E-glass is cheaper and not as strong as S-glass. Need I say more?

eglass is not heavier than sglass as a rule.

On exile boards we glass our eglass boards a little heavier than the sglass boards to compensate for some of the loss of strength by not having sglass. So exile eglass boards are a little heavier than exile sglass boards. I think we are the only company that does this though... so thats not true as a general rule.

having the same weight doesn't mean there is the same amount of material

when someone says that something "is a stronger material" they almost always mean it is stronger per given unit of weight. So a one ton carbon fiber rod is stronger than a one ton steel rod (presuming same design). However this does not mean all carbon cods are stronger than steel rods. Strong and light is whats hard to achieve. Strong and heavy is easy...
