it seems like you are always on top of soccer tournaments (except for the bracket structure)... did you play or you just enjoy the game?

frack that. The entire tournament Germany dominated, and in the game before the final, they lose to Italy??? So much for resolute defending against quick counter-attacks. There is no way Italy will beat Spain. Germany and Spain final would have been tits, and it would have been an exciting, high scoring game. Now we get to watch Italy frantically defend while Real-celona tap the ball into the back of Italy's net for 90 minutes....

thats what makes soccer so fun to watch, austen. every goal means so much... you can play a perfect game until you make that one slip up and the wrong guy gets through your defense. anyone can win, which is one reason I think it's the world's sport.

Glad to hear Germany lost. I think I'm going to root for Italy just to be spiteful against Spain who beat France.

ehh. i dont know about that. theyve allowed 1 goal in almost 4 games.

spain's finishing hasnt been up to par this tournament either. i dont think its out of the question that italy wins. spain doesnt have the backs it used to and balotelli showed what he can do when someone makes a mistake. last night, he was finally as good as he thinks he is.

True, but when you have the likes of xabi, iniesta, torres, alonso, and maybe fabregas as a sub, who are all goal scorers, it's hard to see Italy defending against that, especially defending those passes. Natale and balotelli may worry Spain, maybe Pirlo too, but i don't think the game will go like the opener these guys played. Also, the italian coach mentioned that for the Germany game, he opted to go all offense and didn't use any defensive tactics. That would be a bad idea for this game; for every goal they score concentrating on attacking, Spain will grab 2 back. Italy needs to hunker down and defend, and then focus on their counter-attack; seemed to work for them in the Germany game, but Germany played like garbage, which will definitely not be the case for spain. I do hope Italy topples spain though, sick of hearing about "the domination of spain".

Italy played great today, but Spain played outstanding. They may be the greatest international team ever. motta's injury really was the turning point for the game, Italy couldn't respond.

That game sucked. I think we all knew Spain was going to win in the end but i would have enjoyed Spain vs Germany in a nice head to head game instead of this 4-0 crap.

anyway i was't expecting 4 to nothing but it happens. I have to see the stats of the game, like passes and stuff cause i'm sure Spain has some crazy high number.
