To me it look like Germany gonna win, to me. They are just too nasty this year, and Gomez is going off every game. I think it will be England and them in the finals. Portugal has a shot now that prettyboy is finally making an effort.

Italy vs. England was boring.... PKs are a crappy way to end, but Italy deserved it. They dominated that game. Ashley Cole for a PK kicker was an interesting choice considering the guys who hasn't shot yet.
I'm hoping for a Germany vs Italy final... they are the best matched IMO due to pass precision. Germany will win in the end because of the ridiculous amount of amazing shooters they have.

if schweingsteiger plays, germany should handle italy pretty easily. germany gets so many men forward though, pirlo could make one special and balotelli turn the tournament on its head. they could be two of the best players in the tourney. italy's defense is enough to sit back and hold off germany for the most part. i would say i dont expect 4 goals to be scored in that game.
Germany is just so patient... even against a defense that good, they stay so composed around the box until the perfect opportunity presents itself, and then they have about 8 guys who can finish
Spain squeaking by. Anyone know why Ronaldo didn't take a PK? I know he missed one during the Champion's League semifinals with Real but I doubt that would play a part in it?

not as good as 5 other players on that team anyway. it's always surprised me why they have him take set pieces/ FK's. he's so much more dangerous in the air in that situation.

Isn't good at PKs? I thought he was there standard PK taker; if a Portugal player got fouled in the box, Ronaldo would take it? And while he's good in the air, have you seen his free kicks? Dirty.
Besides haircuts, Ronaldo has thousands of kids now that copy his free kick pose before he shoots, makes me die a little inside.

i love that FK preshot routine. he's good at them, yes. he's so much better in the air though. let nani or someone take it. he's portugal's aerial threat.
doesnt matter. spain sqeeked by like everyone thought they would. they impose their will on everyone they play. even ballack who is the biggest krout of them all said germany would have to play spain's way if they played or they would get run off the field.
