I had a bunch of runs today similar to this. Is my timing off or is it something else?

I'd rather be skimming with Jackie Q.
you stopped turning to soon, looking back at the beach when you wrap will help get your board all the way around
keep practicing, you're not turning, you're just running over the wave. make sure to look where you want to end up and turn your body, the rest will follow. your back foot looks like it's too far forward too, try to really lock it onto the back of your pad to give you the most control over the board. oh, and bend more at the knees, not at the waist. maybe even pump out to the wave just to keep your feet moving and get some more control over the board.
watch some videos of wraps and really pay attention to the foot work and the motion of the wrap and try to mimic it next time you skim.
you need to run faster and drop smoother. at no point are you planing. as soon as you get on your board you are pushing water and slowing down immediately. running faster and dropping smoother will allow you to reach the wave with twice as much speed. that will make riding the wave a lot easier.

The main thing I see is......you're turning at the top of the wave and can't drop back in, try turning in the middle of the wave. Also do what the others have said, look at where you want to go and your board will follow. One more thing......it looks like you're on the brake, stay on the gas until you drop back in (read my sig.).

thanks T_REXX, I'll try it out tomorrow then and see how it goes
well, not exactly ALL of your weight, or you'll just dig the nose in.
All messed up and slightly twisted.
Am I sick or am I gifted?
OK, think about it like a gas pedal, you wouldn't keep it to the floor on a mountain road would you? Same thing......you want to work it.
