i recently ordered a board with a textured deck and i was wondering... do you still wax a txtured deck? my roomate has a textured exile and just rocks a stomp pad and arch pad... no wax. is that per the norm?

I just got a new textured board a few weeks ago and it definitely grips much better with wax than without.
I'd rather be skimming with Jackie Q.

What I like about textured boards is......it holds wax better than a gloss top.

I've always skimmed with a textured deck and just an arch bar, and i've never had problems with slipping
