R.I.P. hondarider's labtop
i dont like this shit with skimmybits avatar. always think its DK
Was able to play fine on very low quality haha. Have 2 bandages, a hunting knife, a bag, ammo with no guns, gas, painkillers, etc. Yeah buddy!
Just got Windows 7 Home Premium reinstalled since I no longer have access to my Pro license, but the disk only had 32bit installs :/. Going to have to re-load with 64bit once I get a CD so I get all my memory, but I'm thinking my gaming laptop should handle it despite being slightly dated now. i7 (1.73ghz), HD5870 and 6GB DDR3 (only 3 at the moment).

Live every week...like it's shark week.
Since the game is more of a RPG, framerates aren't as important.
This is a good reference manual to look things up.

found a fully functional boat that was just off shore. Shore was shallow, boat was stuck, =[.
Ok, so i just started downloading Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead because i heard about DayZ. Do we have a group of people playing because i would be interested in joining. Also, stay away from big cities when i am first starting is the thing to do, right?
Hardest damn game ever, can't find shit. Didn't play Arma at all before this, though. Anyone want to play with me?
im kind of over dayz. im down to play coop or domination though. add me http://steamcommunity.com/id/mylasergoespew
seems like a lot of the dayz players are finally trying out arma 2. seeing all those coop servers filled up is glorious, i've had more fun playing arma in the past few days than the entire time i've owned it
Ok, i added you. And sick of it already? i am getting pissed at it for sure
I'll play some ARMA coop tonight.
I'll be online by 8 or 9pm EDT
I won't be on for a week, but before i had to leave i came across a new strategy when first starting out. Just running in circles kiting zombies in a main town scored me my first weapons/food/drinks. However, i showed sympathy towards a fellow player running around. He ended up shooting me and taking all my stuff. However, now i know what to do. I feel like the normal method of proning never works. I would try it and they would just patrol and never leave. So, i started to just run around in circles and it works fine. You can LOS them on corners and then take that time to pick up supplies. Also, ladders are your best friend. In a ton of main cities there are these ladders that lead to little walkways. That shit will break their aggro and you are free to bandage and drink or eat in times of need. Now i have figured out sympathy is something i can't show towards fellow players. I'm still upset that i didn't shoot him first when i had the chance. But yeah, if you are tired of prone and crouching. Run like a maniac. More than likely you will find more drinks than the energy you are expending. Plus it's fun to kite those damn zombies around instead of trying to stealth in to a room for 30 minutes just to figure out that there is just empty food cans. OH and hills slow down zombies, if you can find a hill that is high enough you can lose a whole pack of zombies on that. Sorry if that was a lot and in a messy/unreadable order. Really wishing i could play DayZ right now, so instead i am just talking about it.
It's actually not that hard to avoid zombs once you get used to the game. I crouch run pretty much everywhere and only prone near them, then crouch walk on streets and shit that are too loud to run across.
Finally found a fracking tent today, only took like 3 weeks...
(´・ω・`)
I wonder if I could run it using this?
