    Default New to Skimboarding

Hey I just moved to Florida from Connecticut and I wanted some advice on how to get started.
I am used to snowboarding and riding a ripstick, and I've also been surfing before, but haven't tried skimboarding.

Does anyone know what board I should get?
    I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 129lbs.
I want something that can handle all types of skimboarding:
sand sliding and small waves, as well as tricks.

I was thinking a large Zap Wedge.
    Can someone help me out?

    Thanks.

are are one skinny ass kid. and a zap wedge is a good board for smaller waves and the sand sliding. but im sure after a couple months, you are gonna wanna go onto bigger waves so i would get a zap pro or an exile recruit or slotstik 330 series or something. all personal preference.

    Yeah I'm too skinny...

I'm looking for something cheap for the time being though.
What size board do you think would work for me?

    Thanks

If money really is an issue a large wedge will serve u well... But if you want to go into skim for the long haul inwould recomend a better board. Also, try the used section or craigslist , some GReAT deals on there, kinea Makes me angry that i dont live in USA
