worst injuries, falls or just plain embarrassing moments.
my worst injury was when i bailed from my board because a little girl decided to run right in front of me right after i dropped and got on. i ended up breaking my nose on the sand after i kicked the board behind me to not hit the little girl.
last week i got fracked up by a wave that doubled up and broke right on my head just as i got there. the whole day had been quite small and that head-high bastard came out of nowhere right on the sand. i swore loudly right before it hit me, and when i got up the two other guys who were skimming there were trying their absolute best not to laugh right in my face, but they still had really big grins.
All messed up and slightly twisted.
Am I sick or am I gifted?

-hit a kid once coming back in from a wave
-picked up a kid once when i was still riding on my board so i wouldn't hit him
-cut my leg open with my board and had to get stitches a month ago. that was probably the nastiest injury. but my worst injury is a pulled groin followed by an over worked hip flexor muscle which took a total of about 2 and a half months to get better.

Fell off my board but still had one foot on it and one foot on the sand, I ended up doing the splits.

Trying to learn how to monkey crawl, leant to far forward and went flying over the board, face first into the sand, folded up like an accordion

had weird footing when I fell at wedge. It's still fuzzy, but I'm fairly sure the ball of my foot got caught on the rail of my board, so when I fell it acted as a pivot point and twisted my tibia.

realistically though, how dangerous is the wedge? i know its hyped a lot but is it true?
It's easy to catch, so if you don't know what you're doing you can get royally fracked.

I've hit kids, old people, life guards, and have almost been arrested several times for skim boarding, lol
But my worst injury was I fractured my heal bailing on a fat air drop, so painful.
I tried jumping off my board and somehow my front foot got caught in between the board and the sand, it cut a =| face into it.

Sprained my wrist second time I tried skimboarding. It sucked but not so bad. I witnessed a kid get slammed to the sand by the wave and shatter his ankle a couple weeks ago. He had just gotten a new board and right before summer vacation.
how did you almost get arrested?
i was at jensen beach in florida and a lifeguard told me skimboarding was illegal at the beach, he got in my face, i got in his, i said some dumb shit, cops came, blah blah blah.

Tore my labia when I got credit carded by my skimboard.
Cracked pelvis and two herniated discs.
every lifeguard in florida makes skimboarding out as a huge crime its horrible
Broke two bones in my ankle. Went straight into a breaking 3-4ft (chest high) wave at southside going full speed. I cracked a circle in the gloss coating on my carbon exile from where my heel pressed into it since the board went from flat to straight up instantly. fracking sucked. I was down in DE at my grandparent's house for a week and that was my first day there.
