    Default Skimboarding in Hong Kong

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45ODJ...ature=youtu.be

I recently started skimming in hong kong, not the best wave conditions in the world but the waves were great on this one day.
My friend was filming a short film so he decided to come film me and a friend skimming.
We aren't amazing but weve only just started out and are starting to catch a few small waves/white wash. If you guys have any tips theyd be greatly appreciated

That's pretty sweet, it's always cool to hear skimboarding reaching different parts of the world. Considering you guys just started its pretty good that you are already almost wrapping waves..Just keep practicing and progressing..welcome to somb

One important thing I noticed, don't lean back.....you got your foot on the brake(back foot), you need more gas (front foot).

First way to improve would be to cut out the uncomfortably long, super-slow-mo wet t-shirt competition shots of dudes standing on the beach.

You already got people asking how old you are - pedobear territory right there.

Best way to learn is to skim with and watch others do their stuff, most skimmers are glad to help with hints and tips...

Get yourself down to Palm Beach on October 20-21st, for there Skimboarding Competition.
I think Rich Paril is a local there organising and you'll catch up with Philippines rider, Leo Espada( Longkoy),
and I believe there'll be some other visiting Phillo's ( along with the one and only, champion, Bayogyog ) too to come check out the action..

Wish I could be there too, but I have Skimdulgence No. 9 to contend with in October..
