Default Son's board stolen south of Cocoa Beach Pier. Pics...

    Hey Guys,

Someone stole my son's surfboard from our back patio today (6/15/12). We're 5 condos south of the Pier. It's a pretty unique looking board. Even if they strip the graphics off of it, there's still a 'Daddy-O Hawaii' logo on the bottom of the board. This was my son's first board. Could you keep your eyes peeled and let me know if anyone sees it? Many Thanks!

Make a police report. You'll need it when you confront the people who stole it

I'm in the area, chances are they wont be surfing where they stole it if they're smart, then again they're from CB.

There are so many scumbags in that area I stopped going. I'm usually more south, but I'll keep my eyes peeled anyways

I feel like most of the people who steal boards are either planning to resell it on craigslist or opportunistic kooks who will just let that shit sit in their garage for the next 10 years.

don't forget to check the pawn shops in the area, or go around and give them flyers

Thanks guys, I guess I'll go ahead and do the police report. I didn't think it would help, but RUM_RUNNER's right. I'll definitely let y'all know if, by some miracle, I find it, or it turns up!

This, from the 2nd Light forums on 6/16/: "I SAW THIS GUY SURFING 3RD STREET THIS EVENING!!! He got out of the water just when I did and I remembering seeing that logo on the side "The big break" Guy is in his 30's Kinda tall and lanky... Good luck finding your board man that really sucks."
So this guy's surfing locally, just a few miles south of where I live. There's hope! Text or call me if you see this board! I'll come down immediately and get it back! Thanks all!

I have it the board and you will never, ever get it back because there is no proof it's yours. You can try to police report me all you want.

Just improving your odds. Hit up the pawn shops with flyers like Doug said. I'm sure there's a ton in that area. Just so if they call the police because they think it's stolen, you improv the odds of the responding officer saying, "Hey, I remember Officer Smith taking the report for a board that looked just like this." Otherwise, it may end up in police evidence. You'd be surprised at the amount of breakdown in the communications in a police department.
