You guys get so caught up hating on OTB, but what you don't understand is ( and I'm not speaking for anyone other than Jack or myself ) but when we do OTB's its to safely learn a trick then apply it to re-entries...Just wait, it won't be long til you get clips of us throwing them consistently back into waves. Ive landed a few varial re-entries and hope to get one of vid soon.(fingers crossed)... come on Jack just did a big flip on a skim...OTB or not, thats impressive.

Thanks a lot josh you & me both know its gonna happen soon enough, I think next time theres waves that are big enough on shore it could happen.
I see people Skimboarding in the future doing Varial flips/Big flip re-entrys at wedge, west anywhere really but I know it will happen.
The Addiction to Progression is something we should all have in mind.
I know Skimboarding has not shown its full potential simple because I have never tried a big spin flip in my life just thought about it went out that day & did it.
If that can be done in only 10 tries I wanna know what could be done at wedge an entire day of trying.
I know its going to happen very soon but not sure whose gonna be the 1 to do it or rid its gonna be recorded.
I gotta figure its gonna be done re-entry & if that happens all that needs to be done is a paddle in then you get $15.000 from volcom for the Kickflip off.
Who knows maybe doing it alone will give SkimBoarding a Name for itself.
Over transition spots at either one of those locations, I'm pretty sure either one of you (Josh or Jack) can land a reentry. People throw huge bigspins/3shoves/180 variations all the time.
If you've got the flip tricks dialed in, it would only be a matter of time.

Fully agree with these guys, OTB is the way to learn a trick without killing yourself. And if you've ever skimmed the gulf you know the sand is littered with razor-like shells. Skim there for a month and your hands will undoubtedly be gashed apart. I know, I skimmed that shiz for 6 years. These guys are committed to pushing the boundaries, and this vid shows that. And btw Jack, I know I told you I would never try a kickflip, but today I was working on them for like 2 hours. The result? Check my fb haha. Let the progression happen. Oh and btw this is rediculous and will win the contest.

not one to hate but ive never seen a video of strictly otb's until this day. mind you that trick was sweet , but i dont see the ability to throw it after connecting to a set at the wedge or even a good-sized wave as something we will see in the near future due to conditions like wind, difficulty , etc etc. prove me wrong if you dare.
