Default Used exile recruit w/ pads going for $220 - good deal for beginner?

Welp... just decided to go to UCSB.

Since it's right next to the beach, thought I'd pick up a skimboard for some fun.

I haven't been skimming in a couple years - fractured my entire right arm trying to impress some gals - but I'm willing to give it another shot.

Ebay is listing a used Exile Recruit for $220 right now - http://www.ebay.com/itm/EXILE-THE-RE...ht_2019wt_1029

The seller says its "52" TALL AND 20 1/2" WIDE, NOT SURE IF THIS IS CONSIDERED A MEDIUM OR LARGE"

From the posts I've read, the recruit seems to be a fine choice for a beginner/intermediate skimmer. Unfortunately, I don't know whether or not this deal is a rip-off. Is an $80 discount appropriate for a skim board with a fair amount of usage?

I'm a 170lb pure-blood Norwegian living in Santa Cruz right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Shit. If it's a Pro model, you're right. But if it's Hybrid, I might be okay.

    Can you tell from looking?
