it looks like a pretty fun board. can't be too bad
it's not the board, it's the rider
i mean, i'd rather sand slide on one of those than a wooden board, but that's about it.
All messed up and slightly twisted.
Am I sick or am I gifted?
No klaus, the board will probably hit a shell, break in half and then proceed to nail you right in the balls if any one tries to ride it.

skimboards are cool and i like riding them
it's not the board, it's the rider
He sure likes to talk about it though.

You really have no idea what you're talking about. Ever.
Don't listen to the WaveZone hate on here. Most of the people here who hate on that company have just heard it somewhere else. If you like the shape, go for it. It's not for me, but I've always ridden Zaps and Exiles. I actually met the guy that owns WaveZone. He's a really cool guy and he's really stoked on skimboarding and "giving back," so yeah. He's started to come out with some more conventional shapes instead of that weird old teardrop shape he had forever, so I'm sure he'll start to get more business. Judging by your location, it might be a little difficult for you to get a board. So, if that's what your local shop has, then buy it for sure. Glassed boards are a definite step up from woodies and will help you progress a lot.

Agreed.
WZ really is not even a bad company. Their top of the line models might not be the usual shape http://www.wavezoneskim.com/shop/category.aspx?catid=7
However If you are looking for a starting board they are fine and I have seen several of their boards given away for free at competitions so they actually are giving back.

Im sure it induces speed with chemical reaction with the water... or it is just red paint

it's probably like car wax or just like any other skimboard speed wax.
it's not the board, it's the rider
