    Question Keeping board feeling?

Ok guys so I have noticed in the past few times i picked up skim boarding after 1 - 2 months of not doing it that I am really stiff on my board and have no board control & feeling whatsoever. I don't skim so much because i live in land locked Germany and it takes a pretty long time to get to some waves. Anyways, I recently got into skating again to try to keep some board feeling and was wondering if you guys have any other suggestions? I saw a into/balance board but didn't know of that would be worth it?

let me know if you guys have any ideas

this happens to me too if I haven't skimmed for a while..the closest thing that I have found to actual skimboarding would probably be mini longboarding..mini cruising kind of has the same tight turns and pumping abilities that you have on a skimboard, just a little different..idk, its worth a shot

just skate a shit load and go running.
it's not the board, it's the rider

there is a period every year where i can't skim for like 4 or 5 months straight cause of weather. i can't say that i loose my feeling when i come back, its really like i never stopped i think its because i longboard/skateboard and really jus stay active
if you're cool with me I'm cool with you. if u don't like me...idc, I'm just gonna keep skimming

All of the above & stretching. Longboard skating really helps find some stuff to carve on. Also mind skim

Ok thanks guys, I'm going to start skating more. Usually use my nickel skateboard and just roll around town on it. Prob going to pick up a longboard soon and carve a lil as well.

A nickel is a good substitute. Learn how to pump and skate bowls and other transition. It'll help you.

Skating has always helped my tech abilities when it comes to skim. I haven't skated in few years and as a result my tech has gone to shit. Although I've never had a problem with my drop or wave-riding abilities degrading over time, only the occasional rustiness if it's been a few months.
