Best Skim Spots in VA Beach?

Live in Richmond so going to be coming down there alot this summer just wondering where some good spots are.

i'm not a big fan of the crowds when i'm trying to skim, so i spent most of last summer in the north end, most often around the pier thingy at 61st street. the real pier usually sees the most skimmers, croatan has its share also. i hear good things about sandbridge, but i've never made the journey out there. check out virginia beach skimmunity house on facebook.

i kinda want to go skim there for giggles. never actually been down that far.

saw a bunch of skimmers out there last saturday, still waiting to get a house so I can get my skimboard delivered back to me, kinda looked small and mushy, but I was still jealous. Dude with the tattoo across his chest(among others) was killing it despite the conditions. Looks like I'll be moving about 6 blocks down from the beach off old VA beach road, looking forward to skimming with you guys

dont skim 1st street. ive never seen it good there for skim. sandbridge actually fires sometimes. the pier gets good, but for the most part vb sucks. i take road trips every weekend to skim real waves. So is this the new vb thread? heres a minimovie of yesterday at 15th street pier.

Unless something's changed in the past 2 years.

North End, between 65th and 80th.
The pier, 15th Street.
Croatan, surf area to about 100 yards north of surf area.
Sandbridge, north of pier.

Skimmed VB for around 8 years, those were the only spots that were good beyond once in a blue moon.

I've skimmed VB a handful of times and I only skimmed 57th street. It was always pretty fun.

I was out there last saturday, still small but it got progressively better as the tide came up, unfortunately it ended up raining. The girl that was skimming the pier was owning that break, best female skimboarder I've seen since the one time i went to the world championships at Laguna about five years ago. Looks like the wind and tides aren't going to cooperate with us to much for the next week according to Magic Seaweed, might have to road trip it down to OBX, any suggestions on where to check down there?

Brittany kills it. Shes definatly one of the best girls, up there with Anna profit and that one girl from Hawaii I think. Shes one of the best skimmers in vb

Went out for five and a half hours on saturday, at one point it seemed like everyone and there mother was skimming the pier. Thanks to you all guys for making me feel at home, see you all around

It was getting sketchy out there. People really need to look before they run. If someone is on a wave don't run because people actually ride liners and I got plowed by some dude who just charged at me while I was on a liner.

It's been forever since i have been on here. Went skimming yesterday and it was actually fun. First time i have been out since i have been nursing a torn calf. I may go out tomorrow anyone heading out?
