This i a doubt i've had for a long time. What are the properties of each one? Which makes the board more stable, which allows a faster wrap, which is better in liners etc..

Fish are better on liners and since they are shorter they also wrap faster. I would prefer a fish almost any day over pin tail, but that's just my opinion.
A pin is more stable in the sense that the back won't slip out as easily as a fish would.
A fish would allow a faster wrap considering that there is less surface area in the tail, thus reducing the drag in the water when wrapping.
I like how a fish or squash tail feels down the line but that's all personal preference.
You've got that nasty bounce.

i don't like fish boards on liners compared to pin tail boards on liners. you just shoot down the line on a pin tail. and pin tails feel better in the pocket in my opinion.
but your reach, spray, and ability to do tech on a fish board is just so awesome.
it's not really what the tail is shaped like that matters, but a combination of different specifications that make up the board to ride a certain way.
it's not the board, it's the rider
