PUERTO VALLARTA TRIP - Grateful for Advice/Info

I know there are threads but they aren't solid..
I would appreciate anybody with any knowledge/information or experience to share with me...

My girlfriend is taking me to Puerto Vallarta from March 24th to 30th...

I am bringing my skimboard...

I am staying at, " Shangri La " http://www.vrbo.com/112944

Please can you provide me with details as to where I should skim.
(Places near, if not travel distance foot, bus, taxi) Good Places...
Any suggestions as to the trip during this time?

Does anybody want to hang out and go skim, show me around?
I would really appreciate any information you can pass on to me...

i just got back from puerto vallarta. puerto vallarta is basically one long, rocky beach. but at the very south end of the main beach in the old town called playa los muertos (the gay beach) the skim is really good and there arent any rocks. cruise down there at high tide and you will definetely see some locals who are all friendly. I was there just a few weeks ago, so trust me here. I can connect you with one of the locals that i keep in touch with if you PM me.

edit: after looking at the hotel you are staying in, if i am correct that is probably a little further north from playa los muertos (where all the big hotels are) and you might need to take a short cab or bus ride (buses are only 6 pesos, less than 60 cents, and come frequently), but the skim is definetely worth the travel.

I've been to puerto atleast 10 times, just like scskimming said the gay beach is allways good, fat shore break. The locals are all very friendly, my boy Luis down there has a white syndrome, say what up to him. If you want to take a bus north to San pancho and sanfronsisco it's about a 2 hour bus ride, you can catch the buss at walmart, but there is solid shore break there and a sider, pm me if you have any questions.
