It looks kinda funky but I've always used an arch, so it might end up going on... Not sure though

I switched from riding with an arch to riding without an arch a while back and it was definitely a huge change..Neither ways were better to me, but they both had a different feel. I'm back to riding with an arch now, but its all up to personal preference...I'd ride archless for a while and then if you decide you don't like it, you can always remove all your wax and set your arch..Simple as that

I really don't know if I like them or not. Some my boards have them and some don't. I do really like my back pad though. The bottom line is.........it's really up to you.
Here's something to think about........It's easier to put it on before you wax it, and it will stay on better. And if you don't like it.......just take it off.

If you skim loosely and like hitting waves differently then lose the arch. When I switched I found myself being able to adjust my front footing when sliding out to a wave instead of being more locked in and it actually has a noticeably lighter feel.
