i skim lbi as well. skim to have fun, not to be sponsored so u can brag about it like floridaskimmer. his sponsorship is a joke. if u are worth being sponsored by a company and do well in contests, sponsors will come to you

I have bad news for you bro, you're not sponsored. By definition you have to actually get something from your sponsor to be "sponsored" so you are just some kid advertising ECS for free.

OK, in a nutshell.......here's what I would do if I wanted to be on a team (which I wouldn't). Here's why, most companies want you to win or place high in contests. Anyway.... First, you need make a video of you skimming (you better be good too). It's best if you have a board of the company you want to ride for. Next, send your video (by email) to the company. Be-sure NOT to start your email by saying "Dear Sirs." You really need to use their name--make it personal not generic. Also, tell them how much you love their boards, how long you have been skimming and that you really want to ride for them. List the contests you have entered and what place you came in. If your video is really good, you may not need to have won any contests (but that's just my opinion).

Edit: That being said, I think I will join. Team Wwhoooooooo (they're not serious about everything).

Well apparently to answer the OP's question the easiest way to get sponsored is to do nothing and run into the guy from ECS on a good day. Only then will you will get the advantage of free pieces of molded nerf foam with 3m adhesive attached and "small discounts" on $450 boards you can't ride.

the BEST way to get sponsored is to get so good, and be such a good person, that you have companies offering you sponsorships. Then all you need to do is choose which one you want to ride for.

That's not sponsorship of any sort, that's just good business sense by ECS. Give you something for free when you shell out a ton of cash for a board = return customer.
I doubt they would actually want or be very impressed that their name is being used in your signature.
Takes quite a bit of the gloss off the place.
