Default Pretty new ta skimmin, got some questions

What's happenin guys, as you can see i'm finally tryin to learn to shred on the skim. So far it's been smooth sailing with run drop slides and shuvs since i've been workin at it for some accumulated time now. I say that because i've always gone with the flow and tried it whenever my cousins were doin it and now that i've gotten my cousin's board i can actually go out prettty often now to practice! But yeah i'm not quite sure what type of board i'm riding, but my guess is it's a victoria fiberglass of some sort with a hawaiian sorta print? So here's my main question, I live in Huntington Beach and from the rumors i hear, it's not the greatest place for skimming, and lately i've been going down to the wedge and goin right down the beach a bit due to the famous area being black balled all the time and i've been workin on actually trying to get to the waves. I just wanted to know if you guys recommended maybe some other spots beginner friendly and hella fun near my area since gas is a btch these days haha. And maybe sometime some of you from the OC would like to meet up or somethin that would be great cuz i skim solo for now haha. Right now im currently wax-only and have noticed pads are the way to go so that will be my next investment most likely. Feel free to leave some advice and what not though for skimming, i can use it all!

Freak pads are the best bang for buck, everyone pretty much uses them. Like $30

pads dont have sizes, they're one size fits all
any pads off of EOS, skimcity, ECS or any other shop will fit your board
