    Default wtf

    what exactly happened?

& i had acl surgery last year. My tips would be to eat extra healthy & drink lots of milk. Ask your doctor what kind of exercise you can do and do it, it'll help. But be sure to rest your legs, dont come back too quickly either.

I've played soccer my whole life....when I was playing for Colorado we used to do ice baths for our legs to keep the swelling, aches and pains down. Now, I will tell you that soaking your legs, ankles, etc. in ice baths just sucks but it did help me. Got me back playing again sooner.

I'm not a Dr. but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.....

I never recommend someone change the way they run unless they experience problems from their current method. You have problems, and it's most likely because you have put in too many miles landing on your heels (especially with a 60lb pack...). You should change the way you run, and it could change your life.

Research the Pose method of running (youtube, crossfit, etc). It's not the only way, it's just a very clear explanation of how to run landing on your forefoot, and the Russian doctor that teaches it is pretty funny. It takes about 3 months of dedication and hard work for your body (i.e. calves) to adapt, but after that running is a joke. I mean, it's effortless compared to running on your heels.
