airsoft?
Anyone here play airsoft?? I have been playing for years and I currently own a G&G UMP and a CA ak-47.
I've dropped thousands in Airsoft guns and I'm sure you Skimmers with your $600 boards are used to that cost haha

Haha you have not played like I do... guarenteed. Paintball is not even realistic. They tried to make milsim guns but they still have hoppers and shit. Airsoft matches exact to its real steel counterpartbut guys, I don't wanna end up like floridaskimmer on these forums so chill haha
let me get this straight, you think because airsoft guns are replicas of real guns, that makes the sport more hardcore than paintball? yeah they match their steel counterparts, but they shoot tiny plastic BBs using a puff of air, that I'm pretty sure a fly could withstand.
let me put it this way, if someone shot an airsoft gun at my eye, I might blink. if someone shot a paintball at my eye, I would be afraid.
OK... airsoft definitely can hurt if that's what your getting at. Take a gas blowback pistol pointblank to bareskin at 400fps and tell me it doesn't hurt. Go to www.airsoftcqb.com. this is where I play. Its a close quarters field that is somewhat like a maze and you start teams on opposite ends. Guns there I have seen shooting up to 35bbs a second... which regardless of what you think can be painful haha. Yes I agree that paintball hurts more, but the modifications that the people make to airsoft guns can result in an unpleasant experiencehaha
You guys have it all wrong, my sons played air-soft and on of the guys they played with got his tooth shot out. You can get hop up kits and make those guns hit hard. And you don't wear a lot of protection like paint ball.

Yea I play with electric. The guns have gearboxes that can be upgraded with tune up kits and steel parts to withstand heavier springs. Resulting in guns capable of shooting 600fps

If people are getting their teeth shot out they obviously have their air turned up way over regulation.
p.s. I looked at that site... everyone there looks really cool in their camo and kevlar helmets. that stuff is all really necessary considering they play indoors with toy guns.
My sons and I joined an airsoft club. If you don't know what an airsoft gun is, here is a pic of one. It's not like paint ball, because the guns look real. Also most of the guys dress in real military gear and play army games. The guns usually run by battery or gas, the bb's are small and made of plastic. When hit, it hurts like a bee sting. It's best to wear gloves and something over your face and most importantly goggles. If you have any pics of you or your airsoft guns, please post. Or if you have any questions, please ask.

dude stop trying to act tough, they do freakin' hurt especially when they're going 600fps. I doubt you could even take shotfrom one of those

I mean its all about taking it seriously. The vests are actually put to use. We carry up to 10 mags per rifle and the vests have magazine pouches of course. The helmet is a bit much but its all personal preference. I have seen plenty of marines and military in general at this cqb field playing. Its a lot more fun when you get a day with them because than its much more tactical and serious. And yea, it definitely stings and I get bleeders everytime I'm there. Its kind of annoying because I have scars all over my left arm since that's the arm facing them when shooting :/

I actually read this article that airsoft is the number one leisure activity for gay guys this season. Makes sense to me. What do you guys think?

I've been shot full auto at 400 fps from 20 feet with an M4 replica.
I've been shot in the woods but other replicas turned up much higher. It's not a sport, it's an activity for people who are afraid of paintballs.

@skeezin why the fracking does it matter if someone gets hurt while taking pics. I'm sure during paintball the cameraman is in soooo much danger as well. I wish I could play paintball! Geewilikers
