ok guys i bought this board as my first and i am moving up.i really didnt use it much maybe 4-5 times and i suck real bad,didnt even make it out to the waves haha,its in good condition and has no major scratches.so its now sitting, its the one in my sig.i paid $160 for the thing at a local shop.but here in boston its getting cold and i wont use this board anymore,so if anyone is looking for a good starter board let me know.make me an offer..~joe

Simply put most people on this forum hate wavezones. As you will too if you get a chance to ride an exile/vic/sol/slot or even a zap.

it's a constant problem, bostonjoe. it always has been; there's a very sarcastic, antagonizing atmosphere here that should be reserved for people who are established and know the message boards, not from somewhat established members to new people.

and not everyone on these boards hates wavezones. a lot of people ride them; i would bet money that half the kids on here repping exile, vic, zap, slot etc. so hard are some of the worst skimboarders around.

i.e. they have worthless opinions.

stick around, bostonjoe. i hate apologizing for people, but we do have a lot of fun on these forums and it can be informative. don't let this ruin it for you.

Advertise the board the way you want. It's your board and I honestly hope you sell it and buy a newer, better board. I don't want to to quit skimboarding and I don't even want you to leave the message boards because you don't feel you can 'mesh' with the people in the southern states (Cali, Florida, etc). I just don't want anyone to pay a ridiculous price thinking its a really high end board when that is not quite the case.

listen man, this is a forum, on the internet, people communicate strictly through written word at a rapid pace, think about how many aspects of communication you lose when you aren't looking at someone or hearing the tone in their voice, it's really easy to misinterpret a comment as a huge insult when it was meant to be a little joke, especially since most of us dont know eachother well enough (or at all) to know eachothers limits and buttons

yes, there is a lot of stupid bullshit on here, im guilty of getting sucked into it myself, but so is everyone, you proved this yourself by getting into the argument you just got into, a lot of people on here will give other people shit for arguing on the MB's, but no matter who you are, there is at least one subject that will get you riled up enough that you are willing to argue on the internet with people you dont know at all

as for the asshole to newbie's thing, yeah, a lot of noobs get shit on here, but it is almost always because of one of two reasons

1. they ask the same questions that have been asked a MILLION times, it doesnt necesarily have to be a stupid question, just one that has been discussed ad nauseum on the MB's, and a search would usually answer that persons question immediately

2. they ask stupid questions or say stupid shit, it doesn't matter if you're a noob or an established member, if you say something retarded people are going to give you shit about it, end of story

but sometimes people get shit because some of the people on this MB really are just assholes, but there's assholes everywhere, skimonline is a pretty diverse group of people with a variety of opinions and perspectives, there's bound to be conflicts, shit happens

all im saying is that your expectations of an internet forum seem a little high, i avoided forums my entire life because of all the bullshit, but the skimonline forums are entertaining, a good place to network with other skimboarders (since we are so small in numbers), and a good place to stay up to date on whats going on in the skimboarding world, if those three things aren't enough to make you want to stick around, then dont stick around

......plus im hungry for shit

I don't really understand what all that crap is (because you haven't heard of a period from what I can see) but if you are selling it for '50 60 or 70' then thats decent.
