Smile Where to go near Marco Island, FL

So my grandparents own a condo in Marco Island and live there half of the year (winter-->spring) and we are going down for Easter. Every time I've gone down I remember it being pretty shelly/flat. That was a while ago, but where are some good spots around there?? Thanks

I know that theres some kids that live on the Island, and Jetset surfshop sponsored a skim contest there so they could probably give you the down low,and I reccomend bringing a fishing pole! GREAT fishing this time of the year, even off of the beach, just go to the jetties down at the southern tip of the Island and bring your board!

Thanks guys, I remember walking down to the end of the island a couple times but it was flat. This was a while ago. Thanks guys, +1. And my family is crazy about fishing, so we have that all lined up haha. Just hope US Air takes boards on planes...

if theres some wind then something should be brewing, and if you actually want to skim flat tigertail beach is like a tidal flat thing you could go to.

tell the airlines it's a boogieboard and you should be fine, but i suggest u wrap the board with clothes, foam, or bubblewrap to keep it safe in the boardbag. airlines are mean to skimboards :/

O really? Yeah we were planning to get a boat and get some snook. That'd be awesome. I'm staying at Costa Del Mar, if that helps. And I'll be there during the day alllll day cause I havent skimmed in so long I'm fiendish for it. And yeah my mom was telling me about Tiger Tail but she was saying somethin about renting boards and shit but I'm bringin my own.

    wooops wrong dukie. haha
anyway, if there is waves, which there probably wont be, you can find skim on marco and most beaches when the tide is high. south beach on marco is probably your best bet.

    thanks chrith!

I suggest if you are interested in buying Marco island Condos and homes for stay then try to contact with Marco island real estate Florida.
