im located in kapolei, HI.....for shipping estimates use zip code 96707. i may be able to get cheaper shipping rates through fed ex (the company i work for has a large account through them). if anyone is seriously interested i will consider price negotiation, as i need to get a board for winter ASAP.

I'm interested in what you mean flattened rocker "by hawaii standards." Do hawaiian boards not have as flat a rocker as, say, east coast boards? That would make sense to me, since the waves here have less power. Or am I off?

yes, the board has very little rocker compared to all the other boards in my quiver. since the waves here in hawaii are exponentially bigger and more powerful than on the east and gulf coasts, we ride boards with more rocker because we do not have to be as concerned with drive as you guys would be, we are all about the maneuverability. this thing is a small wave high performance shortboard. by the way, i forgot to mention that it also was laminated with a layer of s-glass on the deck, the tail patch is also s-glass. glassing schedule goes top: 4 + 4 (s) + 4 TP bottom: 4. the board also probably weighs between 5 and 6 pounds (fins not installed).

believe it or not, all of the boards that come out of the factory are of the same or even better quality, in terms of glasswork. i have seen some "interesting" shapes come through though. oh, and the shaper of my boards' website is http://www.velillasurfboards.com
