Hahaha first off that southpark episode was hilarious.
Secondly, I love the Dog whisperer I have season set on my DVR, its amazing what he does to these dogs and how fast he does it.
ZBR, we've used some of the techniques on my dog and within 3 weeks he rarely ever does any of the problems we had before hand. We dominated that bitch haha
my ass. This guy really understands dog psychology. And let me tell you, it works. I was waiting at Barnes & Noble while my car was getting inspected yesterday, I'd been meaning to check out this book so I read a chapter, and I had to buy it. It is pure sickness.Originally Posted by steve-o

Have you seen the show? You have to watch it or get the dvd. He will just look at the dog and have it submit right in front of him haha its so funnyOriginally Posted by ZapBulletRider
so ironic, I set up DVR to record the series yesterday and today there was a fracking marathon on. There's like 15 taped episodes on my box. I watched like 5 today, in addition to reading a couple chapters. And walruz, yes.
dog psychology? i just don't buy it. if you say it works, i'll believe you. we trained our two retriever (a sweet golden and a black lab) by repetition and praise. i always figured that's all there was to it.

it's not psychology so much as understanding dog nature.. they're pack animals, they're meant to exist in a pack structure where they're either a leader or following.. if you establish yourself as the leader, they will happily follow. Training is between one person and a dog, and doesn't always help with tougher issues that result from the dog not knowing its place. This is about teaching a dog to exist in a "pack", where they belong.Originally Posted by steve-o
