so whats the deal with private beaches?... theres this beach next to the one i skim, i've kyaked there... and the owner came out and told me to leave... i bet it'd be a sick skim spot... damnit.

look up your local laws concerning them. i'm not sure how far reaching or all encompassing our rules are here, but 20-25 feet from the median high tide line is public, and only from there up can be called private.
Yeah, my friend has a private beach and its crap, it has sooo many shells it scrapes up your boards..
this one is like a mini version of my beach i normaly skim and would be awesome to use when lifeguards are at the beach . . .
she can sue me
