so in case you can't tell I'm on Pretty Lights' D pretty hard this week, I downloaded his discography last weekend, pretty badass that everything he's released is available for free on his site. Anyway I've been making my rounds through all his shit and I'm impressed, I knew he was good but he's got an incredible attention to detail that I didn't notice in the few songs I'd previously heard of his. I keep coming back to this song, I'm a sucker for skittering beats:

Don't know if you guys listen to DI Radio at all, but they've got a lot of great channels. One of the best, if not the best, radio apps for electronic music. I've been mainly listening to the UK Garage station lately, so much good shit on there:

Did you see my 2nd post I just made on that last page? About DI radio? They have a Jungle station too...

Back in 2000/2001 timeframe there was this chick in my comp sci program at UNC who stood out like a sore thumb (kind of like I did, but in a different way) because she wasn't boring or asian. She dressed like a typical raver chick, which you didn't see very often at UNC, huge pants, tight tank tops, hair pulled up in all these multiple buns almost like princess leia. Unfortunately she wasn't hot in the face but something about her was intriguing. Anyway we got stuck on some project together in a class and I ended up over at her house to work on it and she was like "do you like Jungle?" and I'm like "i fracking love the jungle"(actually I have no idea what I said). Then she proceeded to put on some music that sounded crazy to me at the time but really cool. Wish I could go back now that I appreciate jungle b/c I'm sure she went to some good shows back then... (cool story bro)

yeah zeebs thanks for posting that DI radio station, will be listening to that all day tommorow. I've had trouble finding a good online station recently... and that has a crapton of subgenres. and yeah cool story, visualizing that asian gave me the weirdest boner right now. in my mind she was hot in the face.
