yeah I couldn't wait, since you posted that song I've been listening to Command Strange's stuff on youtube reccomendeds. Exactly the type of DnB I like.

Trance isn't typically my thing but this new Armin Song is PURE TINGLEZ

Armin's the only trance I can really get into, I've been getting into him ever since I watched his Ultra set.

I also really like the jazzy dnb stuff. Such as:

brb selling my organs. i'm seriously trying to go.

everyone on there is huge. i'd go to a festival for those names, let alone go on a cruise and party with them.

I have a massive hardon for drum and bass right now. I love it even more when I drink coffee. It goes great with coffee.

Flux Pavilion tonight, Cookie Monsta opener. How worried should I be about making it there right at start time?

There should be a few other openers before Cookie comes on. I know Aetgy (local VB guy) and one or two others were listed as openers.

It was pretty sick, first electronic show I've been to since some rave in like 2001, definitely a different concert scene than I'm used to. Doug you about called the demographic perfectly. The sets were good, it was Aetgy, Brown and Gammon, Cookie Monsta, and Flux. I would say out of the four I enjoyed Cookie Monsta's the least, but it was still good. Aetgy was surprisingly good as was B&G. The show was long as frack, started a little after 8 and we didn't get out of there til after 1:30. Left there drenched and had to make an emergency Denny's pit stop to chug some sweet tea and eat hash browns.

good to hear. at those big shows there's always a huge pit of kids, and then the 20/30 somethings hanging around the outer rim. so how was Flux Pavilion's set?

It was good, I guess better than I was expecting. After I bought the ticket I realized I like Flux, but not as much as a lot of other producers, and I wondered if his shit would sound too repetitive in a long set. But he kept it pretty interesting throughout. The place was going nuts the whole time.

Yea, AETGY plays all the time at the bars down at the Oceanfront, I've seen him a few times. He's got a huge local fanbase. He's pretty good at mixing, but as far as I know, he doesn't really produce, which seems a bit odd to me. I always thought if you start to really get into DJing and get regular gigs, you kind of transition into producing. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

Bummed I had to miss out , I wish Steez would bring more of these types of shows to the NorVa. Too many crappy rock/metal/shit shows going on now. I guess I'll just have to save the cash and head up to Identity Fest in July if I want to see anything good electro this summer.

Nice call on late night Denny's btw lol.

Finally got my Squarepusher t-shirt and Ufabulum download voucher in the mail Friday. Tell me how gay this: I PRE-order the album, which is released on the 15th, yet I can't actually download it until I receive the accompanying T-shirt in the mail (10 days later!), because attached to the shirt is the download voucher. Retarded. Anyway, I haven't listened yet (so no spoilers please), because I don't want to hear it until I can hear the whole album through.
